About
Dani Ford
Senior Bronze
Hello! I'm Dani Ford, and I'm excited to be back coaching the team that helped shape my love for swimming. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Mathematics from California State University, San Bernardino, and I'm currently pursuing my single subject teaching credential and Master's degree at the University of Redlands.
Swimming has been a part of my life for over 10 years. I started in the Redlands Swim Team's Learn to Swim program as a child and joined the team at age 8. I swam all four years on the varsity team at Redlands High School, serving as captain during my senior year. After turning 18, I transitioned from competitive swimming to coaching. I began coaching for the Redlands Swim Team right after my final meet, and soon after, I also took on the role of JV coach at Redlands East Valley High School. The following year, I became the varsity head coach for REVS, but unfortunately, my season was cut short due to the pandemic. After taking a brief break from coaching to relocate out of state, I'm thrilled to be back on deck at Redlands Swim Team. RST has always felt like home to me, and I'm beyond excited to return to coaching and share my passion for the sport with the next generation of swimmers.
Tyson Ormonde
Age Group Gold
Head Age Group Coach
My name is Coach Tyson Ormonde. I have been coaching for over 20 years in Northern California and have a love and personal passion for swimming. I have coached many High Schools and headed up Club summer swim teams for 10+ years. My last team was a USA swim organization called Team Wave from Campbell California where I was the head coach for over 6 years. I had a team of 200/250 where I was the SR coach and head/owner of a team that started with just 60 swimmers.
I have coached Junior Olympic swimmers, Far Western swimmers, Sectional Swimmers, PAC coast all-star swimmers, Zone all-star swimmers, North American Challenge cup swimmers, Junior National swimmers, and more. I have experience in coaching every age group. But with all that being said I really like watching the young kids grow throughout the program and going from the white times up! My swimming as a kid consisted of a team of 400/500 swimmers in the bay area growing up. I came from a swimming family where my mother swam and trained with Mark Spits at the Famous Santa Clara International swim center. I started swimming when I could barely walk. I started my USA team when I was about 6 years old. Throughout my swim career I made a JO level- a FAR W level-a SECTIONAL level and made CCS finals, top 8 all 4 years (CCS up north is like your CIF) I grew up in a swim community where I was trained by Olympian trainers like Pablo Morales and more. I went on to swim college and taking some team, school, and college records along the way.
Kyle Dennert
